Year One brought in a range of exotic fruits into class this week. They used the fruit to invent their own recipes for fruit salad, make and test them. I rather liked dragon fruit! Did you?
Later on the children wrote some excellent new recipes!
Check out the photos!

Guys!
I don’t think that it ‘looks like fun’.
I don’t ‘hope it was fun’.
I don’t ‘bet it was fun’…
I KNOW IT WAS EXQUISITE FUN!!!!!!!
The Spring term was extremely brilliant. It’s sad to let go! I’ll always remember what went on! I’ll especially remember the WOW science, as it brought a smile to my face. Although I miss the spring term, I can’t wait till the Summer term! I especially can’t wait till Saint George’s day! I’ve heard we are all going to split up, and go to different classes to do different activities!
Can’t wait!
Hi guys! I’ve heard you Year 1s have been having a Pakistan day? Well, I must say, on my behalf, that it looked very interesting and intriguing indeed! I hope it was a brilliant time of the day for you! I’m going to tell you, that you all looked lovely! The dresses were AWESOME!
Undoubtedly, the teachers looked outstanding too! I wish I was in Year 1 sometimes!!!
Since it’s a literacy competition, I’m going to use alliteration loads! For example, zealous Zainab! So, I bet you had a fun, fruity, fantastic time, making them! I hope they tasted fabtastic! I’ve heard you made a very neat recipe for your fruit salads, and I think they’re very unique (Even though I’ve not seen it!). I bet they’re as neat as my handwriting (Just kidding, but my handwriting is kinda neat!
)
How did I do in the literacy competition?
Lucy if you thought the words “I bet” are boring then why did you copy my comment?
because she(lucy)wanted to EGGsotic Eeman get it easter egg comp.
???
(Sighingly) NOTHING
BTW, sighingly isn’t a word… It’s sighing! But never mind…
It was fruitilicious!
Like your sister said!
who’s sister?
My sister
Yummy did they taste nice?
Ooohhh! that sounds exciting! Did it taste nice?
i bet it tassted nice
Eemàn why do u keep on using the word I bet. Hope u had fun making fruit salad my fav is sweet strawberries(alliteration),perfect passion fruit and magnificent mango
Frantically fussy Fowziyah (alliteration), the reason I used basic words is because it would be easier for year1′s to read it. Next time I will use a thesaurus before posting a comment because I didn’t realise it was a literacy competition.
Hawwah tells me everyone had a fantastic fabulous FRUITYlicious time!

I’ll be very sophisticated in the next blog post!
