Football Coaching

Matt and Stephen from The Football Development Programme have been into school today to promote their Easter Club.

They are well known at Sherwood School as they have been offering coaching for several years. We like their sessions because they are very football based and they both come from a football background.

Over Easter, they are running a club at Sherwood. Children in Years 2-6 should’ve come home with a letter today.

If you want to get on the course, please bring your letter back into school as soon as possible as places are limited

    I’m going to the footy thing as well. At least it gives me something to do, instead of playing FIFA 13 all the time! ( It’s awesome though!! )

    Would just like to say that both of the Year 4 Classes were Fantastic today. Both the Listening and Behaviour of all Children was very good.

    All Children took part in a 35-40 Minute Session, working on Dribbling and Turns. Turns included a Stop Turn, Step-Over and Double Step-Over. The Final 20 Minutes of the Lesson were Small Sided Games.

    Sessions like what we did prior to the Small Sided Games are what we want Children to put into the Games, have a go at doing a Turn in a game situation (When Appropriate and at the right Time)

    Once again, we visit 100′s and 100′s of Primary Schools and Sherwood Primary School is without a doubt one of the best in Lancashire.

    Thanks again also to Mr Whelan, who, as always, was extremely helpful throughout the Morning.

    We are Looking forward to the Easter Course once again.!!
