Were the Wright brothers always right?

The children in 1RS learnt about the Wright brothers – pioneers of flight!

They realised that these clever men were, luckily, often right because they invented the very first flying machines. This means we can all go on holiday by plane today!

The children thought about what the brothers wore and tested their own paper gliders! They even wore a hat like they wore from about 1900 – it was over 100 years old!

Can you make a really successful paper glider? Have a go at home!

It sounds exquisite and exciting! You’re going to have to come round to year 4 once, and demonstrate! I can’t wait to see how you intelligent year 1 children are going to make paper gliders! After their demonstration, hopefully we’ll be able to make successful paper gliders too!
(I’ve definitely kept my word about the EXQUISITE task!)
